The Wife of the President, Elizabeta Gjorgievska, together with Doris Schmidauer, Wife of the Federal President of the Republic of Austria, Alexander Van Der Bellen, who are paying an official visit to the Republic of North Macedonia, had the opportunity today in the Office of the President MladiHub to familiarize themselves with the skills building project for employment, competences and networking opportunities for young people, which is implemented by the National Youth Council of North Macedonia, and saw the exhibition of works of entrepreneurial women organized in cooperation with the Center for Change Management.
Ms. Gjorgievska and Ms. Schmidauer visited the Old Skopje Bazaar, and, during the walk, they had the opportunity to talk with some of the artisans. At the National Gallery Cifte Hamam, Ms. Gjorgievska and Mrs. Schmidauer were welcomed by the Director of the National Gallery, Dita Starova Kerimi, who guided them through the gallery’s premises, presenting its meaning and history, and they had the opportunity to see the exhibition “Landscape Experience” by the artists Robert Jankuloski and Monica Moteska, who presented our country with this exhibition at the Fine Art Biennale in Venice. A panel discussion on the topic “Women Inspire” was held in Cifte Hamam, with Ms. Gjorgievska and Ms. Schmidauer delivering their opening remarks. The panel was attended by successful women from the country, representatives from the fields of politics, economy, business and civil society, culture and other fields, where their achievements so far were presented.
During the visit to the Memorial Center of the Holocaust of the Jews of Macedonia, the Director of the Center, Goran Sadikario, introduced them to the permanent exhibition in the Museum, which shows the history of the Jews in our country and in other countries through different time periods of the past, their exodus during World War II and the re-establishment of the Jewish community in the country.
