President Stevo Pendarovski addressed today the reception of the Management Board and the member companies of the Chamber of Commerce for Information and Communication Technologies – MASIT.
Pointing out that this year, according to official data, the ICT industry recorded the highest growth both in terms of number of employees and in terms of revenues, President Pendarovski said that the state must provide support to this branch. The contribution of MASIT in drafting the MKD2030 Strategy, as indicated by President Pendarovski, is another proof that this industry is one of the priority areas for the country.
“I do not see any other industry that is growing so fast and has such potential. That is why the Government, whoever it is, whoever is the president at the moment, must be at your service 24/7”, President Pendarovski said in his address.
Informing about the achievements and progress in the ICT industry in the country, the chamber informed that this sector is continuously expanding. At the same time, the chamber said that the number of employees in the ICT industry is growing year by year, and they also note a continuous increase in wages. That, as pointed out by MASIT, is an indication that there can be success stories in our country and that young people can have benefits and excellent working conditions, the same as in developed European and world countries.
Moreover, the President of the Management Board of the Chamber of Commerce for Information and Communication Technologies, Ilija Gospodinov, also pointed to several challenges faced by MASIT member companies. In that direction, Gospodinov requested that state policies be a strategic support for the ICT industry.
