President Stevo Pendarovski, as part of his official visit to the Hellenic Republic, visited today the Benaki Museum.
During his visit to the Benaki Museum, President Pendarovski saw the archives of one of the most important Greek and world architects, Konstantinos Doxiadis. Doxiadis participated in the creation of the basic urban plan for the reconstruction of Skopje after the catastrophic earthquake in 1963. In the museum, President Pendarovski had the opportunity to see old photographs of the destroyed Skopje that Doxiadis shot in the city. The Museum also exhibits the letter of gratitude that the City of Skopje gave to Konstantinos Doxiadis for his contribution to the renovation of the city.
With this visit ends the official visit of President Stevo Pendarovski to the Hellenic Republic, which is the first visit to the country at the presidential level since the independence of North Macedonia.
