Today in Ohrid, President Stevo Pendarovski had a bilateral meeting with the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, and discussed the development of bilateral relations, current regional and multilateral challenges and the security situation in the region and beyond.
At the meeting, the Presidents expressed satisfaction with the dynamics of relations and cooperation between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Kosovo, considering the possibilities for enhancing bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
For his part, President Pendarovski, in the spirit of building good neighborly relations, reaffirmed his position in support of Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations as well as Kosovo’s active accession to existing regional initiatives and forums.
In that sense, the interlocutors exchanged views on the situation in the region, as well as on the latest developments in Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, the engagement of international representatives and agreed that in light of the new geopolitical challenges caused by the Russian military aggression on Ukraine, peaceful resolution of outstanding issues in the Western Balkans should be an absolute imperative for all.
