Congratulation message from President Pendarovski on the occasion of December 21 – Day of Turkish Language Teaching

21 December 2020 | Press Releases

President Stevo Pendarovski, on the occasion of the celebration of December 21 – Day of Turkish Language Teaching, sent a congratulation message to the members of the Turkish community in the Republic of North Macedonia.

Dear fellow Turks,

Let me cordially congratulate you on the Day of Turkish Language Teaching, December 21, and wish you good health, happiness, joy and prosperity.

Exactly on this day in 1944, when the foundations of the Macedonian state were being laid, the teaching in Turkish language began. This enabled education in the mother tongue of the members of the Turkish community, as a necessary element in preserving and nurturing the national identity, tradition and culture. We are happy that this important date is also a holiday of the Turkish community in the Republic of North Macedonia and all our citizens are proud of it.

Dear friends,

The Turkish ethnic community is an integral part of our multiethnic and multicultural state and each of its members contributes to building a democratic, prosperous and developed Republic of North Macedonia. You are a kind of bridge for cooperation with the friendly Republic of Turkey, which is our sincere and dedicated supporter.

Once again congratulating you the holiday, I wish in these times of crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic to protect your health and the health of your loved ones and to remain united and in solidarity.

Congratulations on December 21, the Day of Turkish Language Teaching.

Stevo Pendarovski
