Dear Bosniak fellow citizens,
I extend my sincere congratulations on the occasion of September 28, International Bosniak Day.
You, the Bosniaks, are not merely members of an ethnic group, but also a vital human asset.
You, the Bosniaks, possess not only the constitutionally guaranteed right to freely express, nurture and develop your identity through cultural, artistic and educational institutions and associations, but also the right to exercise it in practice.
You, the Bosniaks, are a significant participant in the political decision-making process and in economic development.
You, the Bosniaks, have a long, authentic and rich national story – one written by your ancestors, written by you today and one that will be written by the generations to come!
I wish for young Bosniaks to grow, learn, receive an education and find happiness in a peaceful, healthy, democratic, inclusive, competitive and prosperous European state. I wish for us to respect and understand one another as we build a shared home of equal and happy citizens, a home where differences are respected and values and principles unite us, regardless of ethnic or religious affiliation!
