The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, on the occasion of the great Christian holiday Resurrection of Christ – Easter, sent congratulation message to Dr. Kiro Stojanov, Bishop of Skopje and Eparchial Bishop of Strumica-Skopje, and to all Christian believers celebrating Easter according to the Gregorian calendar.
In the congratulation message, President Pendarovski wrote:
“I sincerely wish the feast of Christ’s resurrection to bring peace, harmony, joy and immense love. I believe that the Feast of Light will open our hearts and strengthen our faith and spirituality, inspiring us to noble deeds.
This year, unfortunately, we will celebrate the holiday in a different atmosphere, burdened with the threat of COVID-19, which requires a change in our habits, behavior and actions. That is why we need faith, courage, and trust right now. And, is there any greater spiritual support and hope than Christ’s victory over death to endure and be united to be victorious? So, let the light of Easter give us strength and faith in the temptations that lie ahead.
