President Stevo Pendarovski, on the occasion of the great Christian holiday of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, sent a congratulation note to the Archbishop of Ohrid and Macedonia and Iustinina Prima, H.H. Stefan, and to all believers of Orthodox faith in the Republic of North Macedonia.
“Let me congratulate the great Christian holiday, the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary to the members of the Holy Synod of Bishops, the venerable monks and clergy, as well as all Orthodox believers.
Celebrating one of the noblest and most exalted holidays, the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, through which essential messages are sent from ancient times to present day, it is important to remember that the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God, is a paradigm for everything that the modern man is endlessly searching for: compassion, care, courage, stoicism, empathy, love.
This great holiday also shows us that we should bear every temptation together and individually in humility.
Congratulating the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, may we remember that only with love and courage, as we see in the image of the Mother of God, can we walk through life.
