President Stevo Pendarovski and his Wife, Elizabeta Gjorgievska, met today in the President’s Office with members of the Association for rehabilitation and inclusion of people with Down syndrome “Daily Center Doza Srekja”.
The members of the “Daily Center Doza Srekja” informed the President and his Wife to the current activities of this Association aimed to improve the quality of life and exercise the rights of people with Down Syndrome, as well as the challenges they face in their implementation and in their daily lives.
Congratulating them on their success at the World Championships for Young Innovators and the Science, Environment and Engineering Competition, where they won three gold and one silver medal, as well as a special jury award, the President and his Wife wished them new success at the upcoming World Competition to be held in August in Canada, in which they will participate with a project on the topic of medicinal herbs and their application.
The Association for Rehabilitation and Inclusion of People with Down Syndrome “Daily Center Doza Srekja” actively works on raising public awareness to exercise the basic rights of people with Down Syndrome, providing appropriate conditions for early intervention, rehabilitation and inclusion for every child with Down Syndrome by informing the network across the country that treats the problems of these people, and many of their activities are aimed at educating parents, family and the general public about the needs of these people and their inclusion in society.
