Farewell meeting of President Pendarovski with the Japanese Ambassador, Keiko Haneda

President Stevo Pendarovski received today in a farewell meeting Keiko Haneda, Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of North Macedonia.

The meeting discussed the friendly relations between the two countries, which mark an upward trend in recent years, and an expectation was expressed for their further deepening in all areas of mutual interest, especially in the economic field.

The interlocutors concluded that Japan is a great supporter of our country for integration into the Euro-Atlantic structures and attaches great importance to the stability and prosperity of South-East Europe, where the stable development of the Republic of North Macedonia plays a significant role.

President Pendarovski thanked for the continuous financial and technical assistance that Japan has provided to our country since its independence until today, emphasizing the Japanese support for modernization and improvement of the health sector, which, in dealing with the pandemic caused by Covid-19, is more than valuable.

Thanking for the efforts of Ambassador Keiko Haneda, who was the first resident Ambassador of Japan in the Republic of North Macedonia, President Pendarovski wished her success in her further professional career.
