President Stevo Pendarovski met today in “Villa Biljana” in Ohrid with the President of the Republic of Croatia, Zoran Milanovic.
It was concluded at the meeting that the overall bilateral relations between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Croatia are characterized by open and friendly dialogue at all levels, without open issues, with excellent cooperation on regional and multilateral level, with emphasis on NATO alliance.
The two Presidents discussed the current situation related to the aspirations of the Western Balkan countries for membership in the European Union, as well as the economic challenges posed by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
President Pendarovski stressed that Croatia is one of the biggest supporters of our European integration and thanked for the sincere and clear Croatian support, with both Presidents saying that the unblocking of North Macedonia is a precondition for the stability of the region and Europe.
The meeting also discussed the position of the Macedonian community in Croatia and the Croatian community in North Macedonia, stating that the rights of minorities in both countries are at a high level and readiness was expressed for their further promotion.
