President Stevo Pendarovski, as part of the “Face to Face with the President” project, yesterday afternoon in Kriva Palanka met with prominent individuals who contribute to the local community.
At the meeting with the class teacher Dobri Jovevski from the elementary school “Ilinden”, President Pendarovski was introduced with the innovative approach in his work. Jovevski has been working as a teacher for 23 years. Through an interactive approach and his own concept, Jovevski tries to stimulate interest and arouse curiosity of students. He says that in the teaching he emphasizes the application of technology, which according to him, gives students the opportunity to research. His lectures often take place outside the classroom, through visits to social and cultural sites and institutions. For his work, he received numerous recognitions. Part of his efforts is the greater involvement of the Roma community in the educational process. In a conversation with President Pendarovski, Jovevski stressed that the system should recognize more talented teachers and students.
“It is a real pity that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the classrooms are empty and there is no noise of the students. But I believe that with your innovation your online lectures are very interesting”, President Pendarovski said.
In Kriva Palanka, President Pendarovski also met with Primarius Dr. Sretimir Nikolovski, who has been working at the Health Center in Kriva Palanka for four decades.
He is the holder of numerous awards for his expertise and dedication. He is the author of 46 scientific papers at more than 20 congresses in various fields of internal medicine. He was also engaged in the Medical Chamber of Macedonia and in the Red Cross. In 2019, he received the award “October 8”, which, on the occasion of the city holiday, is awarded by the municipality of Kriva Palanka.
In a conversation with Dr. Nikolovski, President Pendarovski was introduced with the ongoing work of the Health Center in Kriva Palanka in the context of dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic.
Through the “Face to Face with the President” project, President Pendarovski has informal meetings with citizens who in different ways contribute to the local community and society as a whole. The aim of the project is to make such individuals more visible, emphasizing their hard work and selfless investment in the profession.
