On the occasion of May 17 – International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia, President Stevo Pendarovski sent the following message:
“On the International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia, let us remember the importance of accepting our diversity in terms of sexual orientation and gender identity. Only in that way will there be tolerance in our society, everything contrary to acceptance is just an excuse that leads to the path of violence.
Let us create a community in which we will all have equal opportunities for education, employment, professional development, access to justice, social protection and health care and free expression of attitudes in society.
Let us not allow diversity to be the cause of discrimination, stigma or hateful acts against the LGBTIQ+ community. Let us jointly create an open and democratic society of freedoms and rights.”
