The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, awarded the “Engineering Ring” award to the most successful graduate students from the faculties that foster engineering disciplines in the Republic of North Macedonia.
The award is awarded for the 16th time by the Engineering Institution of Macedonia and the Chamber of Authorized Architects and Authorized Engineers, under the auspices of the President of the Republic of North Macedonia, as an incentive to study engineering and as a contribution to the formation of a quality engineers. This year’s winners are 11 graduate engineers.
In his address, President Pendarovski said that he would strive for a responsible attitude towards the education system and that young people must get new opportunities and perspectives in order to empower their potential and gained knowledge.
“I wish and I hope that most of you will implement your knowledge and experience gained outside in the country, in order to build a better society for all. Applying new knowledge in all segments, especially in the development of technology is vital because only with real reform can we make progress in the country. As I stressed in my election campaign, as President, I will strive for a responsible attitude towards the education system; young people must get new opportunities and perspectives in order to empower their potential and gained knowledge, here in our country, and our commitment to the faster entry into the Euro-Atlantic structures and the steps that have been taken so far are the right direction in which we will continue to move”, President Pendarovski said.
“The opening up of European pre-accession funds, the possibility of greater mobility in education, internship and education in the European countries are just some of the prospects that stand before you. You are at the beginning of your career. Therefore, I encourage you to move on, along the path of knowledge and success”, President Pendarovski said, wishing the winners of the award a successful career.
So far, the “Engineering Ring” award has been awarded to 150 graduate engineers.
