President Stevo Pendarovski received today representatives of OMO “Ilinden” and representatives of several other citizens’ associations from the Republic of Bulgaria.
The representatives of the associations informed President Pendarovski about their work and activities in the field of human rights, promoting tolerance and building civil society.
Regarding the dialogue with Bulgaria, President Pendarovski assessed that a new phase is beginning, and both sides express their will for progress of the process. President Pendarovski believes that it is important for every political institution in both countries to contribute to resolving open issues. At the meeting, President Pendarovski informed that he will soon pay an official visit to the Republic of Bulgaria and meet President Rumen Radev.
President Pendarovski stressed that the Republic of North Macedonia aims at developing good neighborly and friendly relations with the Republic of Bulgaria, in the spirit of the Agreement on Friendship, Good Neighborliness and Cooperation between the two countries of 2017.
