President Stevo Pendarovski received today representatives of the Independent Catering Chamber, which unites 67 catering entities in the country.
At the meeting, the representatives of the ICC informed of the challenges that the catering sector faces in their work in conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as of their involvement in creating, proposing and implementing measures and activities to deal with the consequences of the pandemic.
Pointing to the current situation in the catering sector, the representatives of the ICC informed President Pendarovski of their estimates that revenues in this industry this year will be reduced by two thirds compared to before.
The representatives of the ICC informed President Pendarovski of the plans for organizing a regional conference of caterers from the Balkans, at the end of September in Skopje, where it is planned to discuss the ways and possibilities for functioning of the catering industry in anticipation of the second wave of the pandemic which, according to them, is one of the most affected industries since the outbreak of the crisis.
President Pendarovski expressed his expectation for finding ways and modalities for promoting the work of the affected entities in this sector, through strict observance of the health protocols.
