The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, received today the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia, Danijela Barisic.
The two interlocutors exchanged views on the overall bilateral relations between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Croatia, which were assessed as friendly and without open issues.
President Pendarovski extended his gratitude for the support of the Republic of Croatia for the start of accession negotiations with the European Union and the support for the membership of the Republic of North Macedonia in NATO, confirmed by the ratification of the Protocol for the accession of the Republic of North Macedonia to NATO in the Croatian Assembly. President Pendarovski expressed confidence that the support will continue in the coming period.
President Pendarovski expressed his expectation for valuation of the efforts of the Republic of North Macedonia by the European Council and the recent start of accession negotiations with the European Union as a key precondition for ensuring progress and lasting stability in the wider region.
Ambassador Barisic, on behalf of the President of the Republic of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, congratulated President Pendarovski for his assuming of office, wishing him success in his work and expressing confidence for further deepening of the friendly relations between the two countries.
