President Pendarovski receives the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of Egypt, Nader Saad

President Stevo Pendarovski received today the Letters of Credence of Nader Saad, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of North Macedonia, resident in Sofia.

President Pendarovski, in his address at the ceremony of handing over the Letters of Credence, said that the Republic of North Macedonia, as a responsible member of the international community, attaches importance to relations with all countries, contributing to the well-being of nations and to securing and strengthening peace in the world, as well as promoting of sustainable development and economic prosperity. He expressed his belief that in front of the two countries, with a rich cultural and historical heritage, there is a huge untapped potential for comprehensive and fruitful cooperation, especially on the economic level, and also in the spheres of tourism, culture, education.

In his address, Ambassador Nader Saad said that Egypt and North Macedonia enjoy excellent bilateral relations since our independence in 1991 and pointed to the historical relations that existed between Egypt and the former Yugoslavia as a strong basis for building and promoting cooperation on a common basis of friendship and mutual respect. The Egyptian Ambassador expressed confidence that he will make every effort to further promote the areas of cooperation, in order to raise and expand the scope of relations to a higher level.

President Pendarovski wished the Egyptian Ambassador a successful performance of this significant, noble and responsible function and expressed expectation that his active engagement will leave a mark in the upgrading of friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries.
