President Pendarovski receives the Serbian Ambassador, Dusanka Divjak – Tomic

The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, received today the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia, Dusanka Divjak – Tomic.

At the meeting, the two interlocutors discussed the bilateral relations between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Serbia, as well as the latest developments in the region.

President Pendarovski expressed confidence that the traditional friendship between the two countries will continue to be strengthened and that the Republic of North Macedonia is focused on building close and positive relations with the Republic of Serbia. The President stressed that the recent meeting with President Vucic during the inauguration confirms the joint commitment for further building of friendship, good neighborly relations and regional cooperation.

Regarding the European integration processes for the countries of the region, President Pendarovski stressed that the European integrated Balkans is an important prerequisite for an advanced and economically prosperous region, expressing the expectation that the European Union will take these circumstances into account when deciding on the progress of the Western Balkan countries on their European path.

Ambassador Divjak-Tomic congratulated President Pendarovski on his assuming of office and wished him success in his work and stressed that she will contribute to intensifying the bilateral cooperation in all fields of mutual interest.
