President Pendarovski talks with members of the Army deployed in international peacekeeping missions

The President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Stevo Pendarovski, today, via video link, spoke with members of the Army deployed in the international peacekeeping missions “Resolute Support” in Afghanistan, KFOR in Kosovo, Althea in Bosnia and Herzegovina, EUTM-RCA in the Central African Republic and UNIFIL in Lebanon.

During the talks, the members of the missions informed President Pendarovski about the manner of performing their duties and their current activities. All of them individually stated that they are in good health, motivated and very well accepted, both by mission commanders and by their colleagues from other countries participating in the missions.

President Pendarovski stressed that with the professional performance of their tasks, our peacekeepers make a significant contribution to the collective security system. In the talks, the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Pendarovski stressed that 2020 was a historic year for the Army, because of the full-fledged membership of the Republic of North Macedonia in NATO, an act of recognition for the work done in defense, including the contribution to international peacekeeping operations in the past years.

Wishing them good health in the New 2021, President Pendarovski wished the members of the Army deployed in international peacekeeping missions successful performance of their duties and safe return home.
