President Stevo Pendarovski, as part of his working visit to the United States of America, on the occasion of his participation in the United Nations General Assembly, visited New Jersey yesterday.
Accompanied by his wife, Elizabeta Gjorgievska, President Pendarovski visited the “Jesse J. Kaplan” school for children with disabilities, where they got to know the organization, methods and operation of the school, which combines high educational standards, nursing and therapies, with the aim of students with disabilities to fully realize their potential. At the meeting with the management of the school, the importance of inclusive education, the situation and opportunities in terms of providing appropriate and stimulating environments for the education of children with disabilities were discussed.
In New Jersey, President Pendarovski also visited the company “Fast Pack Trading”, owned by Ivancho Ivanovski, during which he was introduced to the functioning and development of the companies, the cooperation they achieve and the working conditions in the American society.
President Pendarovski had a meeting with prominent members of the business community and the Macedonian diaspora from New Jersey, as well as a meeting with Macedonian professionals from New York, where he was introduced to their current activities and participation in the social, economic, cultural and political life of the United States.
In the conversations with them, President Pendarovski emphasized that our country is proud of the successes of the Macedonian community in the United States. He pointed out that as established members of the American society, the representatives of the Macedonian diaspora have a significant role in the advancement of the overall bilateral relations, representation of the interests and affirmation of our country.
