President Stevo Pendarovski received today the Rector of the “St. Cyril and Methodius” University in Skopje, Prof. Dr. Biljana Angelova, and the Vice-Rector for finance, investments and development, Prof. Dr. Lazo Pendovski.
At the meeting, President Pendarovski was informed about the current activities and challenges that UKIM is facing.
In that direction, the President was informed about the implementation of the Collective Agreement of UKIM, which was signed with the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia as the founder of this University, as well as the problems in the financing of research activities and capital investments by the state for UKIM.
President Pendarovski supported the efforts of the management and the union of UKIM for the full implementation of the signed Collective Agreement in cooperation with the Government and competent ministries.
President Pendarovski pointed out the significance and importance of quality higher education and emphasized that the state must continuously support the scientific research activity and the development of the universities.
