President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova received today the Governor of the National Bank, Anita Angelovska-Bezoska and the Governors of the central banks from the region: Irena Radovic of Montenegro and Jasmina Selimovic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who participated in the conference “Central Banks and Central Banking Operations in a Complex Environment: Demonstrating Commitment and Maintaining Credibility”, which was organized by the National Bank of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Bretton Woods Transformation Committee and held today in Skopje.
The meeting discussed the role of women in leadership positions and the perspectives for effective management and decision-making, encouraging innovation and productivity, and especially their approach to social issues, through policies that advocate equality and education.
The interlocutors indicated that increasing the participation of women in leadership positions is not only a matter of fairness, but also a strategic advantage for creating more balanced and advanced economies and that female leadership is of crucial importance for encouraging inclusive economic growth and social development.
President Siljanovska Davkova, emphasizing that women in leading positions in the financial sector bear great responsibility, said that they represent an example and inspiration for all other women who are looking for their place in society to achieve their professional goal and career.
