Farewell meeting with the Ambassador of the Czech Republic, Jaroslav Ludva

President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova received today the Ambassador of the Czech Republic, Jaroslav Ludva, in a farewell meeting.

She thanked him for his professional and dedicated performance of diplomatic duties, assessing that he made a special contribution to strengthening Macedonian-Czech friendship.

According to the President, the continued Czech support for the Macedonian European integration confirms Prague’s principled commitment to the enlargement of the European Union. “The Czech Republic has a significant role in this process, not only as a member of the Visegrad Group, but also as part of the “Friends of Enlargement” group”.

Both agreed that the alliance within NATO is a guarantee for preserving peace, security and stability.

Ambassador Ludva said that he is leaving Skopje with the most beautiful memories, emphasizing that during his diplomatic term he managed to establish fruitful and close cooperation with the Macedonian institutions and citizens.

Siljanovska-Davkova highly valued the quick and humane reaction of the Czech Republic during the fire in Kocani, and the assistance of the specialized medical team from the Military University Hospital in Prague in treating the injured in the tragedy.

Finally, she wished him good health and success in his career, assuring him that Skopje will always be his second home.
