President Stevo Pendarovski, on the occasion of the great Muslim holiday Ramadan Eid, sent a congratulation message to the citizens of Islamic religion in the Republic of North Macedonia and the Head of the Islamic Religious Community, Reis-ul-Ulema H. HFZ. Shaqir Efendi Fetai:
I extend my cordial congratulations to all members of Islamic religion in the Republic of North Macedonia on the occasion of the great Muslim holiday – Ramadan Eid.
I sincerely wish you to spend the holidays with your loved ones, in good health and in good mood.
The holy month of Ramadan is a month of fasting, giving, forgiving, a month of strengthening faith, understanding and respect for others. By jointly celebrating this, as well as the other religious holidays, we clearly send a message that inter-religious and interethnic tolerance, mutual understanding and respect are the pillars of the Macedonian society.
Only united can we overcome health, economic and energy crises, as well as all possible security threats. Exactly the holidays are a reminder that united, in solidarity and with a pure thought and a pure heart, we can build a prosperous society and a better, more peaceful and more dignified life for all citizens.
