Regarding the views expressed by the political party VMRO-DPMNE, about President Stevo Pendarovski’s promises for procurement of the drug for cystic fibrosis, the Cabinet of the President sends the following reaction:
Unfortunately, not only the MP of VMRO-DPMNE was illiterate, but also those who wrote the announcement of that political party. If we can help the people at VMRO-DPMNE in any way, we are attaching the request of the Cystic Fibrosis Association to meet with the President in June 2021, in which they do not ask the President to procure the necessary drugs, because they know that the competent institutions for that are the Ministry of Health and the Health Insurance Fund.
Attached you can find the announcement from the Cabinet of the President which does not mention any promise to procure the drug, because for those who understand things, the President is not the competent institution for the procurement of medicines.
We do not believe that the clear content in the two documents will help you understand what it is about, because your goal is clear, to discredit the political opponent, and when you have literally no argument on your side.
It is inhumane to abuse people’s personal and family tragedies to score political points.
We repeat – although the President is not responsible for procurement of drugs, he believes that all persons from this category of patients must receive urgently the necessary therapy.
