President Stevo Pendarovski received today Kensaku Tanikawa, son of the Japanese poet Shuntaro Tanikawa – this year’s laureate of the “Golden Wreath” award at the Struga Poetry Evenings, Gerardo Mazzuccio, the Italian poet and winner of the “Bridges of Struga” award, the Israeli poet Amir Or, 2020 laureate of the Struga Poetry Evenings and Todorce Tasevski, Director of the poetry event.
President Pendarovski congratulated the award-winning poets, expressing hope that such prestigious awards, which valorize their poetic achievements, will represent an additional motive for even greater literary successes in the future.
At the meeting, the President acknowledged the overall organization of the Struga Poetry Evenings, emphasizing that this event is a top cultural event in the world of literature, which, in addition to affirming Macedonian poetic creativity, also brings world poetry closer to the Macedonian audience.
