On the second day of his official visit to Montenegro, President Stevo Pendarovski today in Bar attended the ceremony of placing a memorial plaque to Vladimir and Kosara, which was made in North Macedonia, in honor of the Macedonian-Montenegrin friendship.

President Pendarovski pointed out that the placement of this monument is a symbol of closeness and cultural-historical ties between North Macedonia and Montenegro, and is realized at the initiative of the Association for Macedonian-Montenegrin Friendship and the Association of Montenegrins in the Republic of North Macedonia.

The plaque commemorates the personality of the Montenegrin prince Vladimir, his courage and human ideals, as well as the legend of his love for the Macedonian princess Kosara, the daughter of Tsar Samuel, which is sung in the “Chronicle of the priest Dukljanin”.

The memorial plaque was made by the Macedonian Sculptor Tome Adzievski and is placed in Bar, where the cult of Prince Vladimir, who is considered the protector of the city, is most cherished.
