Today, on the sidelines of the 5th edition of the Paris Peace Forum, President Stevo Pendarovski met with the President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis.
The meeting discussed the overall bilateral relations between North Macedonia and Romania, which are characterized by constructive and open political dialogue, based on friendship and mutual respect.
The two presidents discussed the European perspective and current events in the Macedonian European integration process. President Pendarovski expressed his gratitude for the Romanian support and emphasized that North Macedonia remains committed to the European path and the achievement of the strategic goal – membership in the European Union.
The presidents also discussed the developments in the region regarding the Russian invasion of Ukraine, as well as the impacts on the wider neighborhood, emphasizing that the two countries, as members of NATO, demonstrate unity and mutual cooperation.
