Darja Rizova and Qendrim Rijani have been selected in the Best Young Artist category, who with their creative achievements during 2022 made a significant contribution to the affirmation of Macedonian theater creativity, both in the country and abroad.

In his address at the ceremony, President Pendarovski said that the recipients of the awards are a positive example for their peers, but also for current and future generations.

“They should be and remain our model according to which the new generations will behave and create values. Their example of dedication and investing their time and effort in themselves, as the only way to success, should be an example for our older citizens as well. I said and I repeat, it is necessary to support young people and to value and reward their achievements accordingly. In this context, I believe that the “Successful Youth” recognition makes its own contribution and fulfills its mission and purpose”, President Pendarovski said.

President Pendarovski said that we should encourage young talents, scientists and artists to continue developing their potential, so that we increase their motivation for new achievements, and this is possible only through appropriate valorization and an adequate merit system.

“All our successful, creative young people should be allowed to be the driving force of our society, to have open doors in educational and scientific institutions, in companies, in creative industries. They simply must be given a chance, so that young and successful individuals can stay and build their careers in their home country, thus reducing the otherwise huge outflow of young people. Of course, sometimes it is inevitable and necessary that the professional career and the need for advancement and improvement take them beyond our borders, but it is good that they continue to be part of joint projects, programs and researches of the institutions in the country, to remain professionally connected with the motherland. It is absolutely critical that we do everything in our capacity for our greatest resource – the human potential, so that it does not leave for good”, President Pendarovski said at the ceremony.

The award “Successful Youth” is awarded for the fourth time for results achieved in the past calendar year in the field of social, natural-mathematical and technical, humanistic and medical sciences, to young people with significant achievements in artistic and cultural practices, as well as in the categories for young innovators, talents and successful youth with disabilities.
