As part of the humanitarian action “We Are Here, We Serve the Community, We Help Each Other!” #WeAreHere #OneForTheOther, the wife of the President, Elizabeta Gjorgievska, together with volunteers from partner organizations, participated in the preparation of humanitarian packages to support the citizens of the most vulnerable categories who are at social risk, affected by the crisis caused by the corona virus epidemic.
In the project, which is implemented under the auspices of the President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, partner organizations are: the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia, the initiative #RetweetMeal, the Association of Citizens to help the homeless, socially disadvantaged families and individuals “Kindness”, the Association for human and social development – Project “Happiness”, as well as “Food for All – Food Bank”.
The purpose of the humanitarian action is to involve the citizens, socially responsible companies, civil society organizations, diplomatic missions in the Republic of North Macedonia, as well as international organizations and institutions, in accordance with their capabilities and resources, to jointly provide the necessary assistance to as many of our fellow citizens as possible.
So far, a dozen socially responsible companies, one diplomatic mission and citizens have joined the humanitarian action “We Volunteer for a Solidarity Society”. Products are received every Monday and Wednesday, and the distribution of the products to the most vulnerable categories of citizens is done every Friday in the Office of the President “Mladi Hub”.
