President Stevo Pendarovski received today members of the “Golden Nightingale” children’s choir.
President Pendarovski, congratulating on the successful implementation of the 52nd edition of the “Golden Nightingale” festival, emphasized the importance and role that this festival has for more than half a century in the development of the creativity and talent of the youngest in the country.
The members of the children’s choir and the soloists of “Golden Nightingale” shared their impressions and experience with the President about the recently held festival. Singing refrains from the upcoming children’s hits, they thanked for today’s reception and for his continued support.
The “Golden Nightingale” festival is held under the auspices of the President of the Republic of North Macedonia.
The first edition of the “Golden Nightingale” festival was held on 23 May 1970, organized by the Union for Care and Education of the Children of the City of Skopje. Traditionally, for 52 years, as part of the commemoration of the liberation of Skopje, November 13, “Golden Nightingale” is part of the musical reading for the youngest.
