President Pendarovski receives credentials of the newly appointed ambassador of the Republic of Ireland, Brendan Ward

President Stevo Pendarovski received today the Letters of Credence of Brendan Ward, newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Ireland to the Republic of North Macedonia, resident in Bucharest.

President Pendarovski, in his address at the ceremony of presenting the Letters of Credence, expressed his satisfaction with the highly developed bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, which are characterized by intense political dialogue and partnership relations, and expressed hope for deepening cooperation, especially on the economic level. The President said that we see the future of North Macedonia and the region of the Western Balkans through the prism of the European Union and expressed great gratitude for the great support of the European integration process, emphasizing that Ireland is our strong and important partner on our way to EU membership.

Ambassador Brendan Ward pointed out in his address that although the two countries are at opposite ends of Europe, the shared values and shared commitment to the European ideal mean that the two countries have a lot in common. He said that he is looking forward to close cooperation with our country, with the aim of improving our bilateral relations in the direction of supporting the aspirations of North Macedonia for membership in the European Union.

President Pendarovski wished Ambassador Ward a successful performance of his responsible office and expressed confidence that he will enjoy our full cooperation and assistance in carrying out his diplomatic duties.
