Today, President Stevo Pendarovski held bilateral meetings with the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani Sadriu, and with the President of the Republic of Albania, Bajram Begaj, on the sidelines of the meeting of the leaders of the countries participating in the Brdo-Brijuni Process, which is being held in Skopje.
At the meeting with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani Sadriu, satisfaction was expressed with the level of bilateral relations between the two countries, which are friendly, dynamic and based on mutual respect. It was concluded that the promotion of good neighborly relations between North Macedonia and Kosovo will contribute to the progress, stability and security of the entire region. The interlocutors reaffirmed their interest in deepening cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, especially in the economic one, and committed to an active contribution to have an infrastructurally developed and economically prosperous region.
At the meeting with Albanian President Bajram Begaj, satisfaction was expressed with the continuous political dialogue and the overall development of bilateral relations between the two countries, and the expectation was expressed for strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest. It was pointed out that as allies in NATO, the two countries are ready for the enrichment of mutual cooperation, with the aim of an even more active contribution to security in the region and beyond. The interlocutors exchanged opinions and information on the European integration of North Macedonia and Albania, and they assessed that the acceleration of these processes will have a positive impact on the entire region and is a geostrategic investment in a stable and prosperous Union.
