President Stevo Pendarovski and his Wife, Elizabeta Gjorgievska, attended today in Debar Maalo in Skopje the promotion of the book “Mr. Maestro Dzambaz, in the Children’s World” by the authors Branka Kostic-Markovic and Marko Kolovski, dedicated to the composer and conductor Aleksandar Dzambazov.
The publication is a collection of songs by Maestro Aleksandar Dzambazov, one of our most prominent Macedonian composers, conductors and founders of Macedonian popular and children’s music. The selection of compositions, which includes 52 songs for children of preschool and school age, was made by Dzambazov himself during his lifetime, in collaboration with the author Marko Kolovski.
The promotion of the book was part of a larger event, which was organized by the son of Maestro Dzambazov, Igor Dzambazov, and the Municipality of Centar, on the occasion of commemorating the life and work of the composer, precisely on the day of his birthday, February 3.
As part of the event, a mural with the image of Aleksandar Dzambazov and his “Nightingales” was unveiled in Debar Maalo in Skopje, the work of artists Dragan Kitanovski-Drash and Marjan Dimić-Macka, and a musical program was performed in which some of the former “Golden Nightingales” and “Razvigorcinja” performed, conducted by Zapro Zaprov, accompanied by Marija Gjoshevska on the piano.
