The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, received today at a farewell meeting the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia, Milan Jazbec.
At the meeting, opinions were exchanged on the overall bilateral relations between North Macedonia and Slovenia and it was concluded that the two countries nurture the same, European values, with traditional friendship and strong strategic partnership. In that context, President Pendarovski and Ambassador Jazbec reaffirmed the interest in further intensifying cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, especially in the economic sphere where there is huge potential.
Emphasizing the continued Slovenian support at bilateral, regional and multilateral level, President Pendarovski said that North Macedonia highly appreciates Slovenia’s assistance in implementing the reform process towards our European integration, which will have a positive impact on the stability and prosperity of the entire region.
The interlocutors also exchanged views and information on the activities related to the COVID-19 pandemic, stressing the need for increased cooperation and solidarity between countries in response to the health and socio-economic challenges posed by this global problem.
President Pendarovski expressed gratitude for the overall diplomatic engagement of Ambassador Jazbec, wishing him further personal and professional success.
