President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova received representatives of the winning team of the Seventh National “First Lego League Challenge” Competition.

The winning team “The NOOBS – New Original Operational Best Students” consisted of: Petar Kopacev, Sinisa Sipovic, Bodan Nikolov, Teo Valjak Trpcevski, Noa Petkovski, Bisera Stojanovska, Alen Atanasov, Ivan Skalov, Vedran Anastasovski. They were accompanied by Vaska Madic and Gordan Anastasov as representatives of the Academy of Robotics and Innovations.

Congratulating them on their masterful victory and direct qualification to the world championship in the US – Florida Sunshine Invitational 2025, the President expressed particular pleasure at being able to be with young and smart children.

The children presented their innovative winning solution – a multifunctional robot that, when upgraded, can perform important missions: clean the oceans or feed whales. They informed her that they had also made a titanium submarine with special acrylic lights for ocean exploration.

Impressed by the invention, but also by the passion and enthusiasm with which they explained its function, the President said that: “When something is done with love, when it is the fruit of knowledge, mind, effort and dedication, and especially teamwork and mutual respect, success is inevitable”. She said that this recognition has a special weight and significance given that the “First Lego League Challenge” is protected by UNESCO.

“You are the future scientists, mathematicians and engineers, you are the bearers of progress, the heralds of the future,” the President said.

The mentors from the Academy of Robotics and Innovations indicated that the children’s cohesion and ability for teamwork were also taken into account when ranking the teams.

Wishing them success in the upcoming competition in the United States, which will be held from 24 to 28 June, the President expressed confidence and support for their work and pointed out the need to invest in talented children like them. She added that there is no better investment than in education and science, and STEM fields are a huge opportunity for young people to show and prove their abilities and talent, and to translate their imagination into impressive works.
