President Stevo Pendarovski addressed the participants of the “Young Managers and Business Leaders” program, which is held under his auspices.
In his address, President Pendarovski said that we should be proud that in our country we have young people who do not stop only at the level of their formal education, but have the desire to continue learning, expand their intellectual horizons and improve their skills and talents. He reminded of one of the main goals for which the MKD2030 Development Framework was initiated, which was recently promoted, and that is to meet the needs of young people, with the ultimate goal of reducing the outflow of professionals from the country.
The “Young Managers and Business Leaders” program is implemented in cooperation between the Cabinet of the President and the Council of Foreign Investors. Thirty-two young people and eighteen companies are participating therein, which have made their capacities available for young people to have the opportunity to acquire new, practical knowledge.

Good day to everyone,
This year, we are continuing the “Young Managers and Business Leaders” program in an expanded composition of participants, which testifies that we have managed to stimulate your interest, but also that last year’s participants have shown quality.
There is no greater satisfaction than when you have projects that are achievable and that give measurable results, especially if those projects enable professional success and career development of young people in our country.
First of all, let me wish successful, promising and creative work to all thirty-two selected candidates. The commission had a difficult task this year as well, to select the best of the best, and I believe that the choice they made will be fully justified by you.
I am especially honored that this Program is recognized and valued as successful by our business community. This year you have the opportunity to work with top professionals from a total of 18 of our large companies, ten of which are new to the process, and of course, you have the opportunity to learn from them. All these companies give you their trust, are open to hear your business plans and ideas and want to contribute to your professional training and professional development.
Many thanks to Mr. Stefan Peter for the initiative, to the Council of Foreign Investors and to all the companies that joined us and delegated their employees – mentors to guide these young people throughout this process until the successful completion of the task.
We should be proud that in our country we have young people who do not stop only at the level of their formal education, but have the desire to continue learning, expand their intellectual horizons and to improve their skills and talents. It should encourage all of us, in accordance with the available resources, to give them a chance which will pave the path for their professional realization.
Let me remind you that one of the main goals for which I initiated MKD2030 Development Framework, which we recently promoted, is to meet the needs of young people, with the ultimate goal of reducing the outflow of professionals from the country. I have said many times that it is crucial to locate the areas where we need investments and to direct our resources. In this sense, it is especially important to adapt the labor market to real needs. And that means to produce professional staff that we really need, who will be able to maintain the development of the country and contribute to the further progress of society.
Only an open-minded community of citizens has a perspective for development and progress. The more we learn the more we give a chance to our creativity and we come up with new ideas and innovations that move us forward. We must be prepared to find functional solutions and policies in an ever-changing global environment.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
This Program is designed for young people to feel how the business works practically first hand, to get a specific opportunity to give their contribution, but at the same time it is a test for re-examining their individual affinities and capacities.
In the end, let me once again wish all the participants successful cooperation with the companies. I sincerely hope that some of you will build your professional careers in the future in one of these successful companies.
I wish you to stay motivated and work on your personal improvement, because only then will you be able to realize yourself in business.
