President Stevo Pendarovski received yesterday evening the participants of the Conference titled “Strategic Foresight in a Changing Environment: Perspectives for Cooperation and Security in Europe – Kick-Off of the OSCE Expert Network” which is held within the framework of the Macedonian Chairmanship of the OSCE, on the eve of the holding of the Ministerial Council at the end of November this year in Skopje.
President Pendarovski welcomed the initiative for establishment of the OSCE Expert Network, which, as a formal and structured gathering of think-tank organizations, monitors, researches and analyzes specific thematic priorities relating to the OSCE, and expressed his expectation that this network will substantially contribute to the development of the organization’s policies, and as a platform for consultation and dialogue it will be a good opportunity for the exchange of information and opinions between think-tank organizations from OSCE participating countries.
At the meeting in the Presidential Cabinet, which was attended by current and former officials from this field in international relations, ambassadors, professors and researchers from eminent world institutes and organizations, the security challenges facing our region, the security cooperation in Europe, were discussed, as well as the role of the OSCE in the current world conflicts.
