In line with the efforts to strengthen democratic political values, promotion and protection of human rights and freedoms, political pluralism, mutual tolerance, unity and solidarity, with a decision of President Stevo Pendarovski, a Presidential Center for Political Education was established.
“The Center for Political Education is one of the key projects in my work program, which will connect young people from different backgrounds in a number of educational events with eminent lecturers and trainers from the country and abroad. The aim is to stimulate young people’s interest in politics and to motivate them to get involved, better understand and practice politics in the best possible way. Through the Center, we will promote the culture of dialogue in the spirit of democratic values and will contribute to the comprehensive inclusion of political education in formal and non-formal education”, President Pendarovski said.
In order to implement the activities of the Presidential Center for Political Education, as an occasional working body of the President of the Republic of North Macedonia, a Program Council was established consisting of a president, seven members and a secretary.
As partners within this project participate the following foundations and associations: Friedrich Ebert Foundation – Skopje; Westminster Foundation for Democracy, branch office in the Republic of North Macedonia; Konrad Adenauer Foundation, Branch Office – Skopje, National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI), Office in North Macedonia, the International Republican Institute (IRI), Branch Office – Skopje and MK2025 Foundation.
