President Stevo Pendarovski received today Sait Saiti, Secretary General of the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia, and discussed the current activities of the Red Cross, including volunteer work, as well as the cooperation with the President’s Cabinet.
Secretary General Saiti pointed out that the Red Cross volunteer activities in the last decade have shown a positive development and informed that in the past two years the Red Cross in terms of volunteer work focused on supporting vulnerable groups of citizens who were hit badly by the Covid-19 pandemic.
President Pendarovski stressed that the Red Cross, as one of the largest and most important volunteer organizations, successfully promotes volunteer work by offering the opportunity to all interested citizens to be part of activities useful to the community. The President supported the engagement of the volunteers in the work of the Red Cross and expressed gratitude for their sacrifice, responsibility and commitment in carrying out their engagements and humanitarian activities.
