The Wife of the President, Elizabeta Gjorgievska, visited the Evangelical Church in Veles, where, together with representatives of the church and Kristijan Kalinov from the Retweet Meal initiative, they prepared humanitarian packages for families from the most vulnerable category of citizens.
The pastor of the Evangelical Church, Filip Ivanov, introduced Ms. Gjorgievska to the church’s activities, which are mostly humanitarian, such as food packages, national kitchen in cooperation with the restaurant Boem and the Association for Helping Socially Vulnerable Persons “Zero Hungry in Veles”, to their continuous cooperation and support for the Association of people with cerebral palsy from Veles, scholarships for high school students and students from socially disadvantaged families and many others.
As part of the visit to Veles, the President’s Wife also visited a small group home for people with disabilities in which 5 people stay. In this home, she had the opportunity to get to know them closely and the conditions in the home, and through her friendship with them, she had the opportunity to hear what their interests are and how they spend their time in this home.
